Benefits of Volunteering
What a title! We all have different views of what a volunteer is or should be. But the most important idea is what YOU think it should be or will be, for you.
What is the ‘Benefit’? It is personal. We could say it should be this or that, but it really will be everything you want it to be.
The animals benefits of your
volunteering are more important
than our own. They benefit from
having more people caring for
them and having positive interaction with you, the ‘Volunteer’. A committed ‘Volunteer’ that gives just a couple of hours a month will find a true connection with these magnificant animals and have the prevelege of being in close proximity, touching, grooming, gazing into the eye of the horse, feeling it’s strength, touching the spirit of the animal with your own.
But the ‘Volunteer’ should be careful, a friendship may develop.
The most important part for us is the giving of ones time and love to help an animal regain its health, its feeling of well being, allow it to understand and trust us two leggeds, that some of us really do care.
If you live outside of our area please find your nearest horse rescue center and see how you might be able to help, you’ll be glad you did.
